    Hi All,

I am seeking someone with a background in law who would be willing to provide me with legal advice about the prosecution of cybercrime and wire fraud.

    Thanks,
    Olivia

    Hello Olivia.

Is this research or an actual incident? If an actual case, is this International, Federal, or State?

I am not an attorney, but I work with many who handle situations like this. Just want to be sure I put you in touch with the right folks.

Feel free to email me at [email protected] or call me on (908) 319-3650 to discuss.

    Cheers,
    alex.

    Hello Olivia.

Sorry for the delayed response. If I remember correctly, your specific question was about SCAMS not necessarily espionage or extortion like Ransomware.

Individuals and companies can report suspicious activity to the Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3). I recommend companies call the local FBI field office or their existing contact if they have one. They can also reach out to their Information Sharing and Analysis Center (ISAC) if they are a member.
The Secret Service has a similar function but in my experience, it is better to start with the FBI. The FBI is pretty good at keeping a current SCAMS page which your client may find useful. Homeland Security has a similar function but requires the user to register and pass a background check. I can share the link if your would like to pursue that route.

    Cheers,
    alex.
