    Hello Mr. Hinrichs, 

    I hope you are doing well today!

    It's great to see your interest into the Blockchain solutions and that you want to share it with your students. 

    If I can give you my opinion, the best way to understand the Blockchain is to participate to a project or some activities related to Centralized and Decentralized Exchange, Peer-To-Peer Networks, App and Dapps (Application and Decentralized Applications) Using a Digital Wallet from your browser or Android device etc.

    I would suggest you to make a "TestNet" or even with "Real Crypto" using an application like "Metamask" (I am not doing any promotion of any kind but suggestion) and from there every student will have their own "Wallet", you must explain them how to recover their phrase code and the hole processus, this could be a great lab to do in your classroom. You can use the website "Etherscan" for your reference with the "Blockchain" and see all transaction from your "TestNet" there or any transaction that occur between your student so they can understand how the Network is working. 

    You can go on Gitcoin Quest and start to learn about the Blockchain, Web3 and many things related to Technology that could certainly help. Gitcoin modus operandi is all related to the Blockchain with some of the Best Software Engineer. 

    Mostly every project about Blockchain should have their Documentation available on their website.

    Took me a while to get back to you.  You're right about jumping right in.  I have highlighted that opportunity for the students, and have motivated them to join.  Our model for instruction is partnering with outside organizations that need focus on a topic area that the students can take on.  They prepare the solution using our standards based models.  Then, they present to the Board.  Our cybersecurity professionals come from companies inside the Pacific Northwest and internationally as we grow.

    Let's see if they bite.

    There aren't any (yet), but that's something we're actively working on. There are also many facets to Blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) security. Smart Contracts, Wallets, Exchanges, Oracle, etc. to name a few technical features, then there is also market manipulation type activities, front running, and so on.     Kurt thanks for the pointers to the Blog.  The numbers are great.  I love data.  Makes me verify everything you write though.  My students known I'm following this subject area because I'm learning about it too.  We have a saying, if somebody tells you they know everything about cybersecurity.  Run!.  This field has grown with technical intensity, especially with emerging technologies.  Wait until we go "wet". 

    Talking about new technology through crowd sourcing is the way to go, so thank you for managing this "well"  The fact that the field has also grown into behavioral investigation, with what I call digital citizenship, steers the dialogue into a robust direction.  Internet of Things, and bio immersive technologies are starved for more discussions.

    I'll follow you as the first in my class.  We have learning teams - we have an SME, an emerging guy, a CISO, several in field experts, a lawyer, a HR director.  Teaching this way creates a much better sense of the span of authority.
