This post shows the importance (and timeliness) of Standards. Encryption is important, even more so during this COVID-19 era. The Cloud Security Alliance's International Standardization Council (ISC) is tracking Standards Development Organizations (SDOs) such as ISO and ITU-T.

The International Standardization Council (ISC) within the Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) has been designated to coordinate all aspects of standardization efforts within CSA. Efforts are jointly executed by CSA Global, standard developing organizations (SDOs), and relevant working groups. Specifically, working groups refers to those working groups whose work is instrumental in global standardization efforts or whose work has been identified as an offering that will be instrumental in bridging the gap existing in current global standardization efforts. Thus, the council is formed with the purpose to coordinate execution of this work. Additionally, ISC provides an avenue for corporate members to participate and influence standardization efforts worldwide represented under the CSA banner.
Due to the highly strategic value of the ISC as well as the sensitivity of work and protection of IP, membership application is available to active corporate members and we encourage participation by individuals with a strong background working with international standardization communities and processes. New membership is then approved by a simple majority vote by the current ISC membership. All members are bounded by the CSA IPR policy. Current membership has representatives from various National Bodies (NBs), including CA, CN, DE, FR, GB, HK, SG, TW, US.

Call for Contribution to WG2 Study Period on ISO/IEC 20008-3: Mechanisms using multiple public keys
Rapporteur (Joseph Liu), Co-Rapporteur (Liqun Chen, Koutarou Suzuki)
This Study Period concerns the evaluation of cryptographic mechanisms supporting anonymous digital signatures using multiple public keys. The NB's of SC27 are kindly asked to provide input to this Study Period. Specifically, according to the discussion of the Study Period in Paris meeting, the following questions should be addressed:
1. What are the algorithms of the threshold ring signature should be included in the standard?
