when you see references that use XaaS (Anything as a Service) they usually fall into the Paas or SaaS Model.
Edited to clarify: copying text from the CCSP CBK as it describes this well.
key words for PaaS below is " created using programming languages, libraries, services, and tools"
PaaS: The process of deploying onto the cloud infrastructure consumer-created or acquired applications that are created using programming languages, libraries, services, and tools supported by the provider.
The consumer does not manage or control the underlying cloud infrastructure including network, servers, operating
systems (OSs), or storage but has control over the deployed applications and possibly the configuration settings for the application-hosting environment.
SaaS: A software delivery method that provides access to software and its functions remotely as a web-based service.
SaaS allows organizations to access business functionality at a cost typically less than paying for licensed applications since
SaaS pricing is based on a monthly fee.
EG: O365 , Salesforce etc
hopefully this clarifies it better fo ryou.

Subject: How do other service models fit into IaaS, PaaS, & SaaS?
Hello!
The security guidance has talked a bit about different service options such as Function as a Service, Database as a Service, and Security as a Service, among others. I was wondering how do these fit into the larger three categories of service models: IaaS, PaaS, SaaS? Or do they even fit into these categories?
Thank you :)
