    Dear IoT and ICS Working Group Members,

    We need several reviewers to peer review the document from our New Jersey Chapter titled "Rapid Approachable Steps to Address the Manufacturing Industry Cybersecurity Challenges." Specifically, we want to hear from you about anything that is confusing, missing, or lacking in quality. Peer reviewers who offer meaningful contributions to the document will be given peer reviewer credit in the publication. If you have questions, leave them in a comment on this post or reach out to me directly at [email protected].

    Rapid Approachable Steps to Address the Manufacturing Industry Cybersecurity Challenges
    In this article, the authors will briefly outline the evolutionary phases of the manufacturing industry over the decades to frame out where technology integrations took place and thus, introduce cyber risks. Content related to legacy or manufacturing outfits still uses older technologies but perhaps has been retrofitted to include modern information technology systems, and thus create challenges for cybersecurity. The main section of this article will outline a practical top 10 list that manufacturing outlets can rapidly approach to make strides in preventing cybersecurity risks and incidents. Finally, a discussion of the business implications that can emerge if manufacturing is not taking the prudent and necessary steps.
