Hi all, this is great that we have interested participants. I will have our Circle team create dedicate community for this discussion so we can get into the weeds on the scope of what this group should focus on and if this idea of an intersection and bridge between privacy and security is the right approach. When the community is created it will be added to this thread.
As a real world experience to back up the need for this effort, we had an enterprise member reach out to us for help because their legal counsel was interpreting GDPR to such a strict and technically unfeasible standard that it would be impossible to use SaaS and be GDPR compliant. We got a great expert engaged that I think helped the member to more intelligently engage with their legal counsel, and I believe we need more of that.

Subject: Privacy for Security Geeks focus group
Hi All,
Our Global Privacy Ambassador Francoise Gilbert will be conducting a focus group she has called "Privacy for Security Geeks" and we are seeking a few more interested participants. CSA's team has made some great contributions to the privacy topic, such as with the GDPR Code of Conduct. At the same time, we understand that privacy is a huge topic and CSA wants to "swim in its lane", meaning that we want to make meaningful contributions to the privacy topic that are not duplicative of other organizations and are really useful to our core cloud and cybersecurity community. We would love to get your input, let me know if you are interested.
