    Dear WG 1 experts

     

    Here is an update on the progress of the 3rd edition of ISO/IEC 27001.

     

    The ISO editing team in consultation with the SC 27 editors are currently finalising the FDIS text for the third edition of ISO/IEC 27001. This new edition is a consolidated version incorporating a new Annex A (using ISO/IEC 27002:2022) and corrigendum 2 (published in 2015). On instructions from the ISO TPM and Editors, we need to make some additional editorial changes to fix text that is out of line with the latest version of the Harmonized Structure (HS) core text (as specified in Annex SL of the ISO/IEC Directives Part 1, 2022, Consolidated ISO Supplement). These changes are not considered to have an impact on the technical content of ISO/IEC 27001, and include some reordering of clauses and the addition of subclause 6.3 (Planning for changes).
