How do you resolve working on encrypted data in your cloud environments?

  • 1.  How do you resolve working on encrypted data in your cloud environments?

    Posted Dec 03, 2020 02:23:00 AM

Everyday new cases present themselves by companies trying to have more than one supplier or partner working on their encrypted data.
    Some cases today include :
    - smart metering : households distributing data about their private use of devices, different energy providers providing them specific offers on the basis of their usage without identifying the identity of the users, and protecting their individual usage
    - insurance companies : on damage claims that have to be completed by multiple parties and need to be revised by multiple insurance companies, no central organisation
    - personal income comparison : individuals can submit their incomes, in order for others to be able to compare, without revealing the detailed information from the others, nor their identities.
    - medical health records : different caretakers and doctors can submit their findings on a mutual patient, without revealing information from one another
    - ....

Do you also have similar cases you're looking to resolve, or did you already try to resolve these.

We're looking for cases and solutions which can go from encrypting between different applications via direct interaction webservices or API/JSON, or individual access mechanism per data case, or other alternatives.
We're also looking for general approaches, beyond the use cases, in order to determine the right risk model, approach organisations apply in such settings and under considerations of working on private or confidential data.

Looking forward for inputs on the discussion.
