The Quantum-Safe Security working group is ready to release their next document, Blockchains in the Quantum Era, and it is attached for early release.
The general release and an associated blog post is tentatively scheduled for 2/5. P This document includes:
- An brief overview of blockchain technology including cryptocurrencies, smart contracts, and other applications
- The potential quantum threats to blockchain such as random number generation, hash functions, public key signatures
- Risk Analysis of a few key blockchains
- Future solutions for Quantum-Safe Blockchains
