New here and was wondering if I could get some feedback
I have a pretty decent background on enterpise monitoring solutions for on-prem infra and security. However, I'm looking to get some feedback on what might be available for a multi-cloud environment. I'm trying to advise my clients to not rely so heavily on the native tools as most of my clients are large Fed Gov and have multi-cloud and I want them to standardize
Realizing of course the term "Enterpise Monitoring" can mean many things to many people including but not limited to;
- Network security
- Network monitoring
- SIEM
- End User security
- Infrastructure availability, alerting, capacity etc
and many more
Gartner advises a 70-30 approach whereby 70% of requirments can be adrressed by a single tool and reminaing 30% will require multiple solutions and tools
The area of AIOps is gaining traction but its not a panacea and relies on vast amounts of training data to be useful
I'm familar wihh vendors like;
Splunk
DataDog
ScienceLogic
Dynatrace
and a few others that provide hope but they are very far away
Can anyone provide any insights here? Really just looking for a place to start and names of a few solutions that can provide a decent solution for cloud at the enterpuse level
