This is a very good question. XDR being a new upcoming area it does need vendors to build real platforms that can provide full visibility with native sensors and this can take a couple of years depending on the pace of innovation. I think realistically we will see more of platforms where 80% of the data is collected through single platform native sensors and 20% will be injected from other tools. e.g. at Qualys as we are doing a lot around assets, networks, cloud, containers for out XDR platform we will probably ingest email context from a different platform in the mid-term.
I hope that answers the question.

Thanks for sharing @Tami Casey!
We did receive a great question from the audience:
The XDR solutions that we have evaluated miss a good deal of checks and controls thus not comparable to the multi tool solution. Of course multi tool solution have more complex deployment but at least they provide the necessary coverage. When do you expect the XDR solutions become mature enough to replace the multi tool solutions?
@Shailesh Athalye do you have any input?
Thanks all,
