During the last call, I took an action to look into how Critical Infrastructure is being defined globally. The basic problem is terminology. Nations, regulators, and governing bodies treat critical infrastructure as anything that effects national security, the economy or society - physical or virtual. The average person hears what amounts to physical things managed through industrial control systems (ICS) like water, electricity, gas, and the like.

Recently Australia pushed out "Critical Infrastructure Asset Class Categorization Guide". Australia has 10 sectors with 22 sectors.

One of my serial entrepreneur friend told me today about the proposed NIST CSF 2.0 bringing focus on GOVERN function. I think part of it was embeded in other sections in previous CSF versions but having a dedicated focus in 2.0 will certainly make an impact. #nistcybersecurityframework #CSF2.0
