    As a member of CSA's CTO team, you'll be part of a diverse global initiative, working across regions, product areas, and functions. You'll combine creativity and intellectual rigor with organizational skills to manage various campaigns, projects, and initiatives. In this role, you'll advocate for CSA to bring external perspectives back into the company to inform our perception and direction. 

     

    In this role, you will work on CSA's public and private policy efforts relating to cloud cybersecurity governance, risk management and compliance, and other related security issues to:

    • evangelize the CSA STAR Program and its components,

    • support the membership, sales, and marketing teams in business development activities, 

     

    You will support the execution of the STAR strategic roadmap, develop our external narrative around key policy, technical, and business challenges, and advise product teams where applicable. You will contribute to the development, organization, management, and communication of STAR critical initiatives while tracking various regulatory proposals and enterprise-level needs and analyzing their potential impact on CSA and its business.

     

    Specifically, you will coordinate with the following:

    • The Membership and Sales team to support the development of the Trusted Cloud Consulting, STAR Enabled Solution Programs.

    • The Marketing and Events team to support the implementation of the STAR Marketing and Communication Plan.

    • The STAR Director to support:

      • the development of the STAR Auditor Program

      • the management of the STAR Focus Group

    • The CTO to support and assist:

      • Governmental Institutions and Regulators

      • Enterprise Users Association

      • Hyperscalers and CSPs

      • other relevant Industry Associations/Organizations

      • the creation of the STAR Program Advisory Committee

      • the development and consolidation of partnerships/collaborations/liaisons with

     

    CSA takes its responsibilities seriously, including engaging with CSA partners and other stakeholders on important cybersecurity challenges. The Business Dev/Evangelist/Technical Lead leads the company's engagement with enterprise and CSP executive-level officials, legislators, regulators, and third parties in forming market initiatives recommending and evangelizing CSA best practices. Working closely with the CSA CTO office and its leaders, CSA seeks to identify key policy issues, listen carefully to others' views and opinions, and distill and share the company's perspective on those issues with external stakeholders. While we focus on challenges affecting the cloud, our issue areas are increasingly broad and encompass many areas where public cloud policy, business, and technology intersect.

     

    The STAR Program Business Development Manager and Evangelist will be reporting directly to the CSA's CTO, and it will operate under the responsibility of the STAR Program Director.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Work collaboratively with CSA's CTO, the STAR Program Director, the CCM Program Manager, as well as other internal and external stakeholders to enhance the general understanding of CSA's approach to security and best practices and facilitate the increased visibility and continuous growth of CSA STAR Program and its components, having particular regard to the STAR Assessment Portfolio, and the STAR Enabled-solutions Programs.

    • Engage with enterprise organization stakeholders to identify focus areas and provide related CSA policy positions, insights, statistics, and written materials to establish CSA's market position and influence user procurement policy to establish CSA STAR as a requirement.

    • Provide subject matter expertise, guidance, collateral, and other support to our global CSA regions in cloud security, including providing support in technical engagements with public and private policy stakeholders interested in a collaborative relationship engaging in cloud security matters.

    • Monitor, research, and communicate effectively current and emerging security and compliance issues that may impact CSA and its customers.

    • Monitor current and developing competitive activity that could impact the CSA STAR strategy, development, and growth of the program.

    • Work collaboratively with CSA's stakeholders to develop thought leadership and marketing material (including presentations, blogs, white papers, etc.) to influence public and private policy positions relating to cloud security.
