Hello all, I'm pleased to announce the publication of new, original Zero Trust research, extending the CISA Zero Trust Maturity Model to data backup and recovery.
Even with the breadth of the CISA model, there are areas which need more focused attention. Data backup and recovery systems is one of these areas.
So for this research, I dove into the security and architectural requirements for data backup and recovery systems, and examined the ways in which Zero Trust principles apply. This resulted in the concept of Zero Trust Data Resilience. This includes five principles, a reference architecture, and four new Maturity Model functions that show a progression from Traditional to Optimal.
