Cloud Key Management

Due to the failed working group call last Wednesday, we are having an additional one tomorrow, Wednesday the 27th March.

Reminder of meeting minutes from the group's last call on the 13th of March:

• • 'Best Practices for Managing Keys when uploading Data from on-prem to Cloud' document:
    
    • Revise it for brevity and remove redundancy.
    • The team will reassess the placement and content of the assessment, planning, and preparation sections in Section 2 and Section 3.
    • Section '5.3 Post migration operational best practices' is being removed as it is covered in previous sections.
    • Santosh will review and possibly merge sections 2 and 5.1.

Action items:

• • Best Practices when Uploading On-Prem Data to the Cloud document:
    • Partha to expand the scope to include the lifecycle of the data once it is in the cloud.
    • Authors to finalize their sections: 
      
      • 3. Data preparation and Security - Lead: Santosh ( @Santosh Bompally) instead of Sunil 
        • 3.2 Network and Bandwith Optimization - Santosh ( @Santosh Bompally)
        • 3.3 data migration security best practices- Sunil ( @Sunil Arora)
      • 5. Transition and Optimization - Lead: Santosh ( @Santosh Bompally): To address the comments. (Santosh will review and possibly merge sections 2 and 5.1.)

  • Decide on next document to work on: 'Multi-Cloud KMS' or 'Post-Quantum Cryptography'
