Hi everyone,
I thought I'd drop a quick note on the ACSP training. I recently went through and re-validated that all the labs work, which is always a challenge for heavy hands-on classes like this. I've also been tuning the content to find the best mix and pacing and am feeling pretty good for where we are. Lastly, I delivered it virtually at Black Hat this year and it went pretty well. Better than expected to be honest, with no major issues. It's just a lot... but then again, it's always a lot even if we are in a classroom :)
As more and more has switched to virtual training we are considering changing things up a little and I wanted to reach out here for feedback. We'd like to get to more self-paced/instructor supported classes since those seem to work better for the virtual model over in-person. We also have feedback that people like smaller chunks of classes as opposed to a larger 2-3 day full time class. For many, full time is a lot easier when they get to leave the office, but trying to do it virtually is often a challenge.
The idea we are playing with is to break the ACSP out into a series of smaller, independent classes you can purchase individually. These will be self paced but instructor supported- which means there are office hours blocks when the classes are live so you can get help with the training. The full ACSP certification would require you complete a certain path through the training, but this would also open up the option for us to expand some areas with electives that cover advanced areas we don't have time for in a normal live delivery.
Live delivery will still be an option, and we know there are definite advantages to having a real instructor.
Any feedback?
