"Minority representation within the cybersecurity field is at roughly 26 percent, and only 14 percent are women. Employment tends to be concentrated in non-management positions, fewer occupying leadership roles, despite being highly educated. Managing diversity is one of the defining issues of our time." - Kris Rides, founder and CEO, Tiro Security

Today, CSA announced its partnership with Tiro Security to provide students in their nextCISO program complimentary access to the Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge (CCSK) exam. Tiro Security's nextCISO program is an initiative to foster talent and diversity in cybersecurity by providing training and education to bridge the minority and gender gap. Through our participation, we hope to address the challenges faced by minorities in the tech field and to help advance their career path to CISO.

As a women who is still relatively new to the tech industry and only 3 months in cybersecurity, I'm still surprised by the large gender gap. But I'm hopeful for a brighter future where young girls will know they can be a CISO or CEO or President or anything they want to be.

And this is my first post in Circle! I was waiting for the perfect content and this is it for me. Let's all be a part of creating equality for the future of cybersecurity!
