2023 is a big year for STAR! As mandates and submissions continue to rise, more and more organizations and associations are using STAR and CCM to increase their security posture and level of assurance.
To maintain the level of success that STAR has had over the years, CSA will be reigniting the STAR Focus Group that was initiated a few years ago to facilitate new collateral and website updates and keep steering this industry-critical program in the right direction.
We want to invite you to take part in this STAR focus group (small discussion group). From reviewing the attached Charter, the time commitment is very limited (approximately 4 hours over the course of a year) and will be structured as a town hall or round table discussion. These meetings will expand beyond CSA members as we intend to reach all facets of the cloud industry to achieve a good cross-functional group.
The CSA STAR Registry has been in place since 2009 but continual improvement is necessary to ensure these programs stay relevant and evolve with the fast-growing security landscape and the challenges it presents. This focus group will provide an opportunity for you to find out more about CSA STAR and leading-edge information that has yet to be released and allow you to contribute to the advancement of cloud security solutions.

The main objectives are:
1) Gather interested industry professionals to participate in a planned discussion intended to elicit consumer perception.
2) Focus Group will provide a broader range of information, challenges, and improvement suggestions for the CSA STAR Program.
3) Focus Group will offer the opportunity to seek better communications and guidance to address industry needs.
