    Hi All,

    This white paper discusses overarching properties of a secure and resilient system, with the intent for those properties to inform the expression of assurance claims for an assured trustworthy secure and resilient system. Many in the safety community have found the concept of overarching properties for safety key to streamlining and improving the efficacy of safety assurance cases. Overarching properties, as the name implies, are a small set of properties that encompass all necessary properties to deem a system safe, or more precisely to approve, authorize, or certify a system. Assurance cases then provide confidence about claims that a system possesses these properties.
