    Due to the rapid proliferation of #IoT (Internet of Things) devices, 2022 may have marked an inflection point from ransomware attacks to attacks on IoT devices. With an estimated 17 billion devices ranging from printers to garage door openers, each one contains software that can be easily #hacked as the security of IoT has yet to keep pace. The critical problem stems from the fact that there isn't a great process for updating the device with new patches as vulnerabilities are discovered. It's hard enough to get users to update their phones and #devices, nonetheless, their garage door openers.

    I am also just now barely hearing talks about API security.  Companies automatically assume they are safe, so they don't pay much attention to them.  I think hacker know that.
