This model encompasses the ability to formulate and execute a strategic approach, the capacity to establish a core security framework that includes Risk and Information Security Management, and the introduction of a capability-based Technology Reference Model to guide the design and implementation of Zero Trust Architectures. This document serves as a foundational standard for Zero Trust, outlining the specific capabilities and architectural building blocks essential for adaptable security in a world where threats, technology platforms, and business demands continually evolve. Additionally, it provides essential insights into process models, implementation models, risk models, security management models, and their connections to the concept of Zero Trust.

The Zero Trust capabilities detailed in this standard are pivotal in achieving consistent and effective business outcomes. It's important to note that these capabilities are not confined to specific products or technical aspects but are instead rooted in the alignment of people, processes, and technology.
