Abstract
As the cybersecurity landscape evolves, cybercriminals increasingly employ sophisticated techniques, including zero-day (0-day) attacks. Reactive defense mechanisms, reliant on patching vulnerabilities and responding to known threats, are insufficient against this dynamic threat landscape. Proactive cyber defense adopts a forward-thinking approach, aiming to prevent data breaches rather than react afterward. UDS, a data-centric Zero Trust solution is offers proactive defense strategies, prioritizing sensitive data protection and implementing robust access controls to mitigate risks.
Presenter Bio: Jun Yu, Founder and CEO, APF Technologies LLC
Jun Yu is the Chief Executive Officer of APF Technologies, the cybersecurity firm that he co-founded in 2018. In this capacity, Jun spearheaded the development and refinement of APF’s solutions, and for guiding the company’s maturation out of its start-up phase. With a strong background in unstructured data analytics, security, and compliance technology, Jun is the driving force behind APF Technologies’ groundbreaking technology.
Prior to establishing APF, Jun held pivotal roles in many businesses, including lead systems engineer at HP Enterprise Digital Safe. It was at HP Enterprise that Jun realized the imperative of protecting the unstructured data that populates trillions of files at business organizations and government entities around the world. Jun committed himself to developing a solution that would encrypt those unstructured data and make them impenetrable to malicious incursions.
Before joining HP Enterprise, Jun was the lead systems engineer of dev/op and capacity planning at Trading Technologies International, one of the largest derivative trading technology and infrastructure provider. He also led the commercialization effort at GoGo Air Cell that brought its ground-to-air wireless system. June also spent a decade at Motorola, where his was first at Motorola that realized the full speed of 4G LTE in a live system.
